Advisr Email Templates

Company: Advisr
Role: Product Designer
Device: Desktop & Mobile
Tools: Figma, G Suite

As we introduce notifications to the platform, we also have to account for how email communications would look like.
While we had marketing emails, we did not have templates for transactional emails.

Transactional emails are automated messages sent to a user after they take a specific action or when something important
happens in their account.

Examples
  • Account-related: welcome emails, password resets, login alerts.
  • Activity notifications: comment replies, mentions, subscription changes.
  • Security: two-factor authentication codes, suspicious login alerts.

Anatomy of an email

By clearly defining these sections, we established a flexible system for scalable
email templates, ensuring consistency across notifications while allowing customization based on message type.

1. Header

Contains the logo and navigation back to the site

2. Hero

The primary section for the main message or call to action main messaging

3. Content Area

Where the notification and other messaging lives

4. Footer

Displays company address, legal links, and preferences (unsubscribe, help center, etc.)

From Desktop to Mobile

Email templates are designed so they could look good on both desktop and mobile

Other template ideas

I also explored other potential email templates
like a weekly or monthly overview to keep users
informed of their activity.
