SaksFirst Landing Pages
Brief
Worked with a Senior UX designer to translate wireframes into
landing pages for SaksFirst & SaksFirsty Beauty.
Worked alongside the stakeholders to help define the different tiers and benefits for the program.
Provided asset guidelines for the marketing design team.
Project Overview
SaksFirst is a loyalty program, members sign up by applying for a credit card. There are different tiers depending on how much the customer has spend, the more they spend the more perks they earn. The landing page needed an update, it didn't feel user friendly and it felt outdated.
Working closely with the Senior Designer who mapped out the higher level UX and we collaborated closely with the stakeholders of the loyalty program. My role was to translate the wireframes with updated UI elements as well as collaborating with marketing on copy and content.
Old Landing Page Experience
Pain Points
-
Too many clicks, the user has to get the information by clicking on the links on the left hand nav.
-
It's important to be able to compare the different tiers and perks, they all exist in their own page so the information doesn't feel cohesive.
-
The overall look feels outdated and wasn't responsive. The copy also didn't feel friendly and would often run too long.
Redesign
We decided to create a get rid of the left hand navigation and instead have a longer single landing page
with a sticky navigation. This makes it easier for the user to digest the information on the page. This also gives
the marketing design team more opportunities to message special deals via the rotating carousel.
We made sure to design for responsive web to ensure that the experience was consistent on both
mobile and desktop.
SaksFirst Beauty Landing Page
In addition to the loyalty program, there is also SaksFirst beauty which was starting to ramp up
but didn't have its own dedicated page. Using the same layout but with slightly different components.
We also had to work with the loyalty program stakeholders to help create the content and to make sure
the messaging again, felt user friendly and was easy to digest.
